This collection consist of Historical California Court Records. Stanford Law School Library received these records as of the Judicial Council of California, Improvement in Records Management Systems in California’s Trial and Appellate Courts (Cal. R. Of Ct.10.855) ruling. Where individual institutions can serve as caretaker of Historical Trail Court Records. When originating County Court Clerk are ready to disposable trails’ records they must give Sixty days’ notice of plan destruction. A list of acceptable institutions can request to transfer of the Court’s records to the new hosting organization. Stanford Law School started to collect these records in 1964 under Professor Lawrence M. Friedman, who accepted San Bernardino County’s records for research purposes. Stanford Law School continue to accept historical court records from various counties’ court.
