Stanford Law and Technology Association (SLATA) was formed in the fall of 1984 to promote student interest and scholarship in the relationships among law, science, technology, and society.  The purpose of SLATA was to bring students who are interested in technology law.  SLATA does this by sponsoring speakers and panel discussions on technology and the law, computer tutorials, student research projects, and an academic conference on law and technology.aw and technology.
