Series Description
The In Celebration piece was commission specifically for Stanford Law school. According to Ehrlich’s oral history, they ran into Richard E. Lang and his wife in the Leo Castellies Gallery. Tom Enhrlich talked to Richard E. Lang, who then commissioned the “In Celebration” piece from Robert Motherwell for SLS. The Stanford Law School received the original collage, a presentation proof, 200 lithograph editions, and 300 posters. This is the Presentation Proof, some of the lithograph editions, and two of posters.
