Library Resources for Stanford Law School Students

This guide is intended to acquaint Stanford Law School students with valuable resources that the Robert Crown Law Library offers.  Please visit the Robert Crown Law Library's Student Services page for more information.

As our community continues to adjust to the pandemic, please know that our team is “here” for students both in-person and virtually.  Many SLS staff are working hybrid schedules.  We will not all be on campus 100% of the time.  We look forward to being with you online, outdoors, and indoors as your health and safety and ours permit.

SLS students have 24/7 access to the second floor of the library.  Just swipe your Stanford ID card at the card reader at the door on the second floor.  Please visit the library's hours page for up to date library and reference hours.

During your time at SLS, we hope you take advantage of the myriad resources available to you through the library.  Some of the most frequently used resources include:

• Robert Crown Law Library's Student Services
• Legal Databases available to you through SLS, including Bloomberg Law, HeinOnline, Lexis, and Westlaw
• SearchWorks, the library's catalog, which you can use to search for books, databases, journals, and more (includes resources from all campus libraries, not just the the law library)
• Articles+
• Connecting from off-campus for information on how to access online resources off-campus
• Printing, photocopying, and scanning at the library
