Overview

Citation analysis features are available in other databases beyond those highlighted in this research guide. The following is a non-exhaustive list of additional citation measurement tools and databases that offer bibliometrics (citation counts, download numbers, or author profiles with aggregate citation information) for the publications included within the databases.

ACM Digital Library

ACM Digital Library
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Digital Library includes publications pertaining to computing. Bibliometrics include citation count and download numbers. A "Cited By" tab is also available.

IEEE Xplore Digital Library

IEEE Xplore Digital Library
The IEEE Xplore Digital Library provides access to scientific and technical content in the fields of electrical engineering, and computer science, published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and its publishing partners. Article bibliometrics can be viewed by clicking on the Metrics tab, which provides usage information (count of the number of times the article has been downloaded) and citation information. Citation information is based on data from CrossRef, Scopus, and Web of Science.

PLOS ONE
PLOS ONE contains research in scientific disciplines. Metrics include citations (based on Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed Central, and CrossRef), views, and shares.

PubMed Central

PubMed Central
PubMed Central provides access to journal literature pertaining to biomedical and life sciences from U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine. Information on other articles that cite to an article is available in the right sidebar of a document.

ScienceDirect

ScienceDirect
ScienceDirect provides access to publications containing scientific, technical, and medical research. Article metrics (exports-saves and readers) and citing articles can be viewed in the right sidebar for a selected document.
