The Stanford Federalist Society is the Law School's chapter of the Federalist Society, a nationwide organization of conservative and libertarian law students, attorneys, professors, judges, and government official. The Stanford Federalist Society chapter was formed in 1985. Its mission is to emphasize the importance of separation of governmental powers, and judiciary providence. The Federalist Society does this by hosting public debates, lectures and networking event for both Stanford Law Students and the public.
